YouTube Shorts Average Views Calculator
See how many views a typical Short from any YouTube channel gets. Or paste your own numbers.
How average views are calculated
We add up the views on every Short we have counted for the account and divide by the number of Shorts. Where we have it, we also show the median: the views on a typical Short, where half did better and half did worse.
Average views per Short = total views ÷ Shorts counted
Average or median?
One viral Short can hold an average up for years. When the average sits far above the median, the account lives on rare hits. For pricing a sponsored Short, the median is the safer number, because it is what the next Short will most likely get.
What is a good average on YouTube Shorts?
Compare it with followers. As a rule of thumb, a typical Short reaching 10% to 30% of the follower count is healthy. Under 5% often points to an inactive or bought audience. Over 50% means the feed is pushing the account well past its own followers.

Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate average views on YouTube Shorts?
Divide total Shorts views by the number of Shorts. YouTube mixes long videos into the channel total, so we count Shorts only.
Why do Shorts get more views than subscribers?
Shorts are served from the Shorts feed to people who don't subscribe, so a typical Short can beat the subscriber count.
Is the calculator free?
Yes. Average views, subscribers and likes are free for any public channel.
